Liquid Glass
Appearance and troubleshooting
Personal material, spacing and motion settings, and what to do when the glass looks solid.
On this page
The Appearance button in the panel footer opens personal settings. They only affect the current browser and are saved there.
Material
| Option | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| System | Follows the operating system. Windows with transparency effects turned off gets solid panes. |
| Glass | Always shows full glass. |
| Solid | Always shows solid panes. |
Spacing
Compact fits more servers and table rows on screen. Comfortable is the default.
Motion
Reduced stops the drifting lights, glints and page transitions. The theme also follows the reduced motion setting of the operating system.
Accessibility settings
The theme respects system settings for reduced motion, reduced transparency, higher contrast and forced colours.
The glass looks solid
If the panes look solid on your computer, the System material is following an operating system setting:
- Open Appearance in the panel footer.
- Set Material to Glass.
Alternatively, turn on transparency effects in your system settings. On Windows this is Settings > Personalization > Colors > Transparency effects.
Edge refraction is missing
Edge refraction on the top bar and sidebar needs a current Chromium-based browser such as Chrome or Edge. Firefox and Safari show frosted glass without refraction. This is expected.
